چکیده
Organic waste is generated worldwide, and its disposal recycling are becoming a challenge. Due to high carbon content, however, it may be converted into valuable products. Carbon neutrality essential, unstable international oil prices stress the increasing importance of biofuels significantly. Volatile fatty acids (VFA) derived from organic can microbial lipids by oleaginous yeast using as source. When VFA consumed yeast, pH medium rises; hence, acidic agents have added maintain broth’s pH. In this study, we enhanced lipid productivity automatic fed-batch cultivation an agent, modified showed 48.9% 69.0% higher biomass than manual multi-fed culture. At concentration 5 g/L 7.0, yield 0.25 g/g alongside 0.11 g/L/h was obtained system. Oleic acid accounted for largest proportion lipids, composition suitable biodiesel production.

Online automatic tuning and control for fed-batch cultivation
Performance of controllers applied in biotechnological production is often below expectation. Online automatic tuning has the capability to improve control performance by adjusting control parameters. This work presents automatic tuning approaches for model reference specific growth rate control during fed-batch cultivation. The approaches are direct methods that use the error between observed ...
متن کاملProduction of recombinant human annexin V by fed-batch cultivation
BACKGROUND Annexin V, a 35.8 kDa intracellular protein, is a Ca⁺²-dependent phospholipid binding protein with high affinity to phosphatidylserine (PS), which is a well-known hallmark of apoptosis. Annexin V is a sensitive probe for PS exposure upon the cell membrane, and used for detection of apoptotic cells both in vivo and in vitro. Large-scale production of recombinant human annexin V is wor...
متن کاملProduction of recombinant 503 antigen of Leishmania infantum chagasi using cultivation in batch and fed-batch
Background Visceral leishmaniasis is an infecto-parasitarian disease caused by obligatory intracellular protozoa belonging to the genus Leishmania, and might be lethal since there is no precocious diagnosis and proper treatment. Despite the considerable effort, there is no effective and safe vaccine for human use [1]. Genetically modified microorganisms are used industrially in general for prod...
متن کاملExploring volatile fatty acids (VFAs) as a novel substrate for microbial oil production
Cost effective production of biofuels depends critically on feedstock cost and availability. As such, volatile fatty acids (VFAs) can play an important role in advancing sustainable biofuel production since they can be derived from low cost feedstock including gases and municipal solid waste. To this end, we studied fermentations of the oleaginous microbe Yarrowia lipolytica engineered for lipi...
متن کاملContinuous cultivation of photosynthetic bacteria for fatty acids production.
In the present work, we introduced a novel approach for microbial fatty acids (FA) production. Photosynthetic bacteria, Rhodobacter sphaeroides KD131, were cultivated in a continuous-flow, stirred-tank reactor (CFSTR) at various substrate (lactate) concentrations. At hydraulic retention time (HRT) 4d, cell concentration continuously increased from 0.97 g dcw/L to 2.05 g dcw/L as lactate concent...
